I am not sure if this is your experience, but I always assumed the Bible was law and represented the true Christian beliefs, therefore,100% accurate. I assumed the words in the Bible are the words represented from the thoughts of God and Jesus. I realize things can get a little skewed when translations occur, however, I never thought to really take the time to appreciate the history of the Bible and the political influences over all these years.
Please know I am not trying to dishonor the Bible in any way, I love reading the Bible. My goal is to simply state we all need to have our own personal relationships with God. We also have our own way of looking at things and opinions on how we understand It. Me being both analytical and spiritual simply didn’t want to assume what I was reading was accurate.
As an example, for obvious reasons I wanted to dive into what the Bible really says about Psychics, Prophets and Mediums. Considering I am all of these things it has been extremely important I find peace with God and His intended words. Through my personal research, I read King James had a Psychic Reading that was bad or false, so he classified all psychics as bad when that is not the case, after all look how much of the Bible is written from visIon. Based on the big picture, what is interesting is Jesus said be like Me and He was a Medium himself. He was human while on earth and spoke to God. He also spoke with Elijah and Moses, Mathew 17. These are a few examples that Jesus spoke with those who left their physical bodies and now were spirits, therefore, considered also acting as a Medium. What is the definition of a Medium? Dictionary states “ a middle state or condition“. There is of course references to bad and evil seers etc.,but there are also the good references. Our intentions in all we do is what sets us apart from evil, along with if we accept and believe in both God and Jesus. There are bad, false psychics and mediums and then there are honest and good ones that are working for God. There are good people and bad who steal, adulterers and criminals. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 states we must use our Spiritual Gifts with love. There are other quotes in the Bible that state it is a sin not to use the gifts God gave us! Like many things there is a fine line that makes Christians like myself uncomfortable. It took me a lot of research, reading and digging into what the Bible states. I now happily have both confidence and perspective how it was intended. It has been important for me to get back to as close to the original words spoken. Example: John writing Revelation’s. The one thing I can share is I have been so blessed to have been filled with the Holy Spirit validating and pushing me to work for our Lord and God many times. The End Times are coming so it is important to listen and follow God to help remind us what He is all about.
I love when Christians feel they have to throw judgement at me, showing themselves as having double standards. Most Christians I know declare, “Jesus died for our sins, therefore, we only really go now by the New Testament”. I have been on a plane recently and I was minding my own business reading a book and the person sitting next to me asked what I was reading, I answered a book by John Edwards. He and I spoke about the Bible which I read Everyday! He said the prior statement about following the New Testament, then after I told him I have a close relationship with God and that I am a psychic/Medium what do you think happened next? Yes, you guessed it he quoted me from the Old Testament, Leviticus 19:31 NIV. "Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.". It made me smile because he said the sentence before that he only had to follow the New Testament....... ? I can tell you personally, I have been touched by God, Jesus, and Angels besides Spirits in the white light. My intention is to serve them to the best of my abilities. I do not deal with anything that does not entail the white light of God. I am tasked to understand about the “End Times” and to serve them as someone who will help explain what God’s true intentions are and the time is coming! Ok, back to Leviticus, did you know what the very next two versus say in this same section? 19:32 “‘Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord“. How many people do you see do this wherever they are! The very next verse states 19:33 states, “33“ ‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 the foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.” Again, do you think this is being practiced like it was intended?

I know we are judged but it is God’s place to judge, is it not?
Back to translations, did you know the Bible has changed numerous times since it was written over 2000 + years ago? Did you know that the original Bible was split between places and not in the same place and unavailable to validate changes made over the years? During the 2-4 centuries changes were made that were not validated and therefore, not 100% accurate. Do you not think new religions formed, new Bible versions created? People want a Bible they want to follow? Churches also determine our faith ....... Later people were passionate to recheck as best as possible what had changed in translation. Did you know the Bible was actually written in many cases through vision 2700 years ago! Did you know 22% of the est 8500 versus in the Bible were from Visions? Did you know 15% came from the Old Testament because God had to lead through others here on Earth. Once his Son, Jesus came to earth there were only 7% in the New Testament that were visions. Jesus spoke for God (serving as a Medium) up until He left earth then it went back to working through the Apostles with visions and prophecy.
NOLA is conducting a study on how much the Bible has actually changed in the 2700 years:

Remember, the Bible is a reference and extremely important to me, therefore, I have personally tried to get as close to the accurate translation back to the 1800’s. There was a project to make it as accurate as possible during this time, see an example below.
Example; Revelations which I just read,

Please know I write this article with the best of intention to respect the word of God enough to take the time to educate myself on what it is He wants us to really know. No one is perfect on Earth and we need to remember this about ourselves.
We should not judge others and focus on growing our own individual relationship with God and taking the time to know the history of that in which we read. The Bible teaches us to love each other, be kind, do not do unethical things and most importantly worship only Him. He is the judge not us! Each of us have our own spiritual journey, enjoy and think before you turn your back on someone, focus on your growth vs projecting onto others with false uneducated words, again, it is not our job 😀.
In summary, I realize that everything can be viewed from many sides, this is not intended to start a religious debate but merely to serve as a reminder of the following;
- Take time to understand a little history about the Bible
- Do you think God wants us to act like we are better then others? Would He be proud the way we judge others? Is this really our job?
- Did you know the End Times are really coming sooner then you may realize, it is time to start waking up!
- Love drives the best of intentions
Thank you for reading and keeping an open mind
